You had me laughing there too like @mountainjewel when you said does it mean you have to believe in God. Lol, that's what a lot of people do think about meditation, but this isn't true at all. Meditation is just about being aware of yourself and creating a sense of understanding about who you are, what you feel and your surrounding environment. Mindfulness is what most of us lack and meditation helps to cultivate just that in us. It is beautiful to see how calm and mindful you feel of yourself and your emotions just after meditating for a little while. I never knew mindfulness was about gently and nonjudgmentally accepting your emotions and everything that happens. When we start doing that, everything starts to make sense and nothing seems stressful because you know if you are stuck in a traffic jam, it is okay because it is just a jam and nothing negative and if you are feeling angry, it is an emotion you are feeling and it will pass on if you just acknowledge it. You described meditation beautifully and I am so looking forward to participate in the meditation challenge by the @ecotrain.

im happy you will participate in the meditation challenge! i think it will be good for all of us!

I have meditated for 2 to 5 minutes and do it quite often, but I haven't yet built the habit of regular meditation and haven't done it for more than 10 minutes straight so doing it for 15 mins will be a challenge.
