RE: Coffee Culture, Community and.... Compost
That is ABSOLUTELY fantastic. I love that they have made MORE compost heaps and LOVE that the local coffee shops are ao obliging and love the thought of you actually sitting down having a coffee!!

We need AT LEAST 10 compost piles to generate enough to BEGIN. The soil literally resembles concrete dust and has little structure to hold water or nutrients. Heck, if they make TOO much we can always sell it though. LOL... Seriously, improving soil is pivotal to their food security and to enable the beginnings of a sustainable income stream from organic herbs. It's a 2-3-4 year project to improve the soil they have. Me? Coffee? I usually drink it in industrial quantities at home and rarely make enough time to go out and simply savour a cup. Planning to change that and NOT planning to collect any coffee grounds without sitting quietly, sipping, savouring and paying for a cup first.
