Isn't that a common practice in India - Sannyasa - the life stage of renunciation?
Good on you, that you made the break away.
I often stop to look and see if what I am doing is really valuable.
So much of my activity on the net was not.
I see value in gathering and keeping knowledge alive and easily accessible, such as that at the Natural Medicine community, so I am keeping that connection strong. I have other areas where I want to work, keeping knowledge alive too. Just need to watch out for all those distractions.
