I like the way you explained what or who god is for you. Are we god or are we devil? Great one! I think we are both at times, at least I am. I have certain beliefs that I will live by, like do no harm onto others, don't steal etc. straight from the bible...even though I never needed a bible to tell me the right from wrong. I was always in me. But even though they are beliefs I try to live by, I also know that the devil in me might turn away from those beliefs if my family is unsafe for some reason. If my children would ever be in danger, I could and would steal, lie or even kill to keep them safe...if I had to. So I think that's the part devil that always lives in me.
I also agree that greed is the true evil. And it's visible in nearly all religions. That and the hunger for power. I was always wondering the same: why preach love and peace if you are willing to wage war to bring religion? It's nuts. And it's definitely something that comes from the materialistic world we live in. You wouldn't have seen the Aztecs go around to neighbouring places and tell the people that they should follow their religion or gods. That they are wrong and need 'redemption' for their sins? No, this only came around the same time when money and worldly possessions became more important than anything else.
It's wonderful to see like-minded people from all parts of the world here and share their ideas. It keeps reminding me how much Steemit can be a game changer for us all.
