Modern way of life: Where are we going?

Many have experienced that modern lifestyle (especially in the city) is often inactive. It seems that there is a constant movement, but it is more like a vanity than a useful physical activity.

Before, our ancestors went hunting to get their meat; making their way through the windstorm, hunted down and pursued the prey. To feast on mushrooms and berries, sent to the forest. Working in the garden gave the necessary vegetables and greens to the table. Cooking was accounted for by fire, and for this, too, it was necessary to cut wood and collect firewood. Movement and physical labor have accompanied people all their lives, day in and day out.

What now? For meat, milk, the same mushrooms and berries it is enough to go to the supermarket around the corner. Many professional jobs have lost prestige, because office work allows you to earn much more and without tedious work. While sitting, people then sit down to rest. Well, what is not a paradox? And the appeared Internet in general allowed, without getting up from the place, to do almost everything: communicate, learn, even make purchases.

The way of life of modern man runs counter to nature itself, which prescribed motion for us as a way to preserve both physical and moral health. Everything that humanity has today is achieved by hard work. Even the invention of the wheel is not accidental: people tearing at the weight of the cargo being dragged, people guessed through sweat and fatigue how to ease this work. Not one carefully constructed stone wall collapsed before they learned how to make stone fastening mortars.

We admire the beauty of the ancient monuments of architecture and are amazed at the strength, diligence, patience of the people who created them. From the hot sand once the great pyramids rose. Until now, the giant idols of the Easter Island are stirring the imagination. And how many beautiful castles, palaces, squares, towers and arches testify to the enormous work invested in their construction! Scientific achievements are also obtained by considerable effort of brave scientists and researchers who descended to the ocean floor, climbing mountains, wandering through the snow and wind to the poles of the Earth.

Even children now are more interesting to play at home in computer games than to go out into the street.

I'm afraid that soon will pass into the past cheerful salochki, catching up, hide-and-seek and more large-scale children's games in Indians, pirates, robbers. And very much worrisome lifestyle of a modern teenager.

Growing out of these kind of slow-moving "computer" children, adolescents often can not reorganize for greater mobility. Even more spending time at the computer, they play already in other games, and the quivering time of the first visits under the moon is transferred to the Internet. Such a sedentary lifestyle, and, besides, also malnutrition, often lead to adiposity in adolescents.

A young body requires a large amount of nourishing, tasty food, but the calories with which it is received are not spent enough. And then the full-bodied adolescents often already in adulthood get problems with the heart, breathing, blood pressure and metabolism. And the reason for everything is the lack of movement! Earlier people though and ate much, but spent the energy received with meal completely.

To lead a healthy lifestyle is simply necessary at least in order to lessen the pain. Of course, now people are not so afraid to get sick and get to a doctor, as before. Yes, it was not easy for our sick ancestors! The methods of treatment and their consequences were often much worse than the disease itself. Thus, almost everything was treated with bloodletting, it was considered a universal remedy. And is it worth talking about sterility tools? Teeth were pulled out without any anesthesia, and when migraines were shown trepanation of the skull. The alternative was the various healers who treated herbs, but still people got panicked with panic, and so they kept their health. Modern medicine has invented quite good medicines and methods of treatment, quite acceptable and painless. Many people hope now more for the "magic pill" than for themselves, and continue to carelessly treat their own health.

Of course, now many health problems can be blamed on the modern way of life, bad ecology and heredity. But scientists have found out that these factors are only the first part of the causes leading to illnesses. What do you think the second part depends on? Do not be surprised, but all from the same, not just mentioned here, a healthy and active lifestyle!

That is, often a person is guilty of his illnesses, consuming food in huge quantities, sitting at the computer instead of working in the open air, preferring to lie on the couch instead of active rest. And who is there to complain about, if not to yourself?

Throughout many centuries and millennia the human body was formed and adjusted for greater physical activity. In our body, there are more than six hundred muscles, and all of them must actively work to form impulses that stimulate human organs and systems - digestive, nervous, blood and so on. Due to active physical loads, oxygen saturation of the whole body occurs, and nutrients are fully absorbed. Consequently, working muscles are the guarantee of the health of the whole organism. In turn, lack of movement leads to deterioration and disruption of the functions of most organs.

The brain "commands" the whole organism worse, the lungs do not supply enough blood for oxygen, the kidneys accumulate fluid in the body, because they can not fully discharge it. Immunity falls, and the body can no longer resist some diseases. A person falls ill, feels physically impotent, or becomes tired even from a miserable job, apathetic, not enduring. All this is the consequences of hypodynamia.

If someone else doubts the need for a healthy lifestyle, here are a few more undeniable arguments in his favor:

  • Active person lives longer. And if you are on average destined to live 70 years, then add to this figure for another 8-10 years with good physical activity and the same take away if it is deficient. Being overweight, it is easy to get more and heart problems. With age, this situation can only worsen and lead to a heart attack. Terrible statistics suggest that cardiovascular disease accounts for up to 30% of the total number of deaths. And every person, not moving enough, is practically deadly at risk. No matter how old you are, move! And young, complaining of fatigue and the difficulty of physical exercises, one should take an example from Viktor Ershov, a Belarusian pensioner. At 73, he has an excellent physical form, and not only he does weight lifting, but also coaches young athletes. He also runs a lot, rides a bicycle, swims.

  • Physical activity is the guarantor of excellent health. And although not all diseases are associated with a lack of muscle activity, but at least the diseases of the spine, blood vessels and heart can be forgotten. A strong immunity, obtained through exercise and proper nutrition, protects against any infection.

  • Workability throughout life. What in youth is given easily, just as without problems will turn out in adulthood. Do not be lazy and wait for the elevator to climb to the third floor, if now you can perfectly overcome this distance on foot. Regularly making even such a minimum training, you can train your muscles to perform it without fatigue and in 70 years. This also applies to mental performance.

  • A good figure and attractive appearance. This argument is especially relevant for young people, and let them say that external beauty is not the main thing in life, many young men and women tend to look slim and beautiful. Not for nothing that they say that they meet on clothes, that is, in appearance! For girls, proper nutrition and exercise will give a thin waist, a tight belly, a beautiful posture, and boys - pumped up cubes of the press and a muscular figure, at all times considered to be the standards of external beauty.

  • Awareness of yourself as a fully developed personality. It is true that in a healthy body - a healthy mind. A beautiful physical form will give a sense of its own attractiveness, from which self-esteem will certainly rise. And this in turn will affect the mental performance. A man who is proud of himself is certainly happier than one who constantly sees in himself only flaws and does nothing to eliminate them. Energy, which could go on senseless experiences, will go on creativity, creativity, will become creative.

A man who loves himself is always kinder and better relates to others, producing an invariably pleasant impression on them. All the above arguments confirm one old truth: the movement is life!
