I'd love to live off grid like that but it's hard to do in the UK unless you have a lot of money. Even land is ridiculously expensive and even if you get some you have to jump through so many hoops to get permission to build anything on it.
The British government offered generous incentives for a while for anyone who had panels installed but has now stopped them which was a shame for homeowners and businesses in the UK that had grown due to demand because of the incentives.
I've visited India (Tamil Nadu) too and remember how hot and sunny it often was so can see why you chose to set up there. Were you born in India or do you just live there?
If I ever get round to (or have enough money) to setting up some panels I will contact you for advice.
yes, i hear you.. I am originally from the UK, and was involved with Earthship Brighton and spent some time promoting things there.. It is HARD, and yes SO many hooops. i hope things get easier in time.. i know that doing it with groups and communities makes things much more doable.. There is a lot happening in Wales from what i hear!
