I was watching either Victorian Farm or Edwardian Farm and they had a recipe for shoe polish they made. I've forgotten the ingredients, but I think it might have been lard, turpentine, and something else, maybe beeswax? It showed him making it, applying it to his boots, and later showing how well it had worked. I remember thinking, I have all those ingredients...

Ah, well, I probably wouldn't use lard, and Jamie hates the smell of turpentine. I've read maybe orange oil too? Orange oil, beeswax and maybe lanolin or something else oily?
