What Makes Some People Stand Head And Shoulders Above The Rest?

in #ecotrain6 years ago (edited)

Have you ever found anyone that performs better or seems to have more qualities than you?

This is something usual. There are moments in our lives when we encounter people whose abilities surpass ours. It's natural, and it has a proper explanation, which lies deeper than the mere actions.

Those people whose quality rise so high not only do, think and approach things differently. They have developed certain skills to reach their maximum levels. And this goes beyond inborn skills. There are numerous cases where children amaze when they face a challenge, but sometimes they are eventually outperform down the road by those who were considered less skilled.

When we see someone excelling, we tend to think that he or she is special. But we forget that every human being can have the same results because we are essentially born with the same capabilities. There are exceptions, of course, where the anatomy of a person has advantages above others to perform a certain activity. But even people with physical advantages have nurtured their own qualities.

For instance, Michael Jordan, considered the best basketball player in history always practiced even in off-season periods. He once said that every day, every month, night and day he took time to improve his game.

Others people like him have done the same, and that's why they are always exceeding greatly. They harbor the desire and subsequent determination, but also they work on their skills.

Mental capacities

Contrary to physical activities, if our body functions are well, all humans share the same metal capacities. Our potential in that regard is limitless, and everyone can reach it.

There is no such a thing as someone with no capacities. When we first open our eyes for the first time and see the world, the channels that lead to the potential of our metal skills are wide open. It depends on what happens afterwards that would determine if those roads remain so.

The environment around also has a lot of influence to keep those channels free of barriers. When we grow, we're molded by experiences we get from the interactions with the surrounding. People and situations can impact and change our true nature. It can either obscure it or enlighten it up.

That's why many people don't understand when things go wrong and don't turn up the way they wish. And only few are able to rediscover again the potential they were born with.

We need to stimulate our brain

If you don't regularly work on maintaining your skills, you will lose part of your potential. Any athlete who might think that nothing more can be beneficial will always end up lowering the quality of the performance.

Great pianists tend to soak their fingers in warm or hot water, and then message them. Some of them have declared that if they don't practice week after week, their performance wouldn't be so perfect. The common listener wouldn't notice the difference, but the trained ear certainly would.

If this happens with our motor skills, imagine what would be the result from the lack of exercise and stimulation of the brain cells. For this reason, professionals, students, and business men should keep in mind that reading and studying, assimilating and analyzing, thinking and meditating, are important exercises for the brain. They are so vibrant for success in life as any physical routine that would be undertaken to avoid illnesses, or as a system adopted in order to avoid failure.

Awakening

"There areas in the brain that correspond to certain activities in our body"

These exclusive parts in our brain take charge of specific tasks such as languages. The section in the brain in charge of learning a language only has effect on that particular capacity. Such area is like a section in a big garden where a flower blooms from a plant, and from only a seed. And if we don't plant anything in that area, whatever the fertility and growth of the rest of the garden, there will be a sterile place, without cultivation and without production.

There are other areas of the brain that deal with activities such as motors, memory, etc. So, as we work on those areas, we develop parts of the brain that could be found numb and inactive in their functioning.

Some people may point out that due to accidents, we may lose certain brain faculties, but it is not all cases. The lack of use from childhood of some of them will leave them numbness, little developed in their nature or their function. And when we are adults and want to use them normally, we find them paralyzed or atrophied to the extend that a long process of development is necessary to awaken it to its full operation.
