👏 ecoTrain QOTW TIE UP POST: More Or Less Choice

in #ecotrain5 years ago

This week many of you chose to answer the question on Choice! Do you like it that there is only one question each week, or would you prefer a choice of two or three? Would that make the QOTW more fun, or harder? Ha! Do we need so much choice, does it help or hinder us, are we aware of our choices and the implications of them? Are we making informed choices or just repeating what we have learned? There are so many ways to look at this question, and as always, between us all we have really delved into so many topics.

Thank you to all who took part this week, im glad I chose this question.. <3 xx

@trucklife-family

Do we have too many choices in life? For some things, yes we do and it can make us feel a little overwhelmed. But when it comes to the things that matter the most, we are given less and less choices. It's funny cos I have often heard people say how we are spoilt for choice and it is easy to see why some would believe that, because it is something that is being promoted, especially if you look at advertising. But that is only on the surface.

K.I.S.S. in Regarding Choices – A Response to Ecotrain’s QOTW...

I started recalling when my husband first announced he was going on a Keto diet and he wanted me to check it out. He had done all the research for what were the best foods for a ketogenic diet, etc. so we knew what foods our diet would consist of. That became one of the reasons I was happy to adopt the diet for it simplified things – we knew what kind of meals we would be having, what we would be stocking up on, less trips to the grocery store and also what we would be planting in the garden. This would make for less decisions of what to eat, what to buy and what to put in the garden – sounded good to me!

More Choices Less Happiness. Less Choice More Happiness.

In my short life experience till now, I have seen the eagerness to get more and more among humans. The more choices we get we keep looking at something more better. Call it technology advancement, or the need to live a healthy life or luxurious slifestyle. Humans make the things more complicated for themselves.

Take into the consideration of owning a mobile phone. With so many features now available, still everyday people keep looking for some more added features as per their comfort and need.

Less Free Will in this Actual Consumption Society means Less Freedom to Destroy our Planet

Personally, being mainly against the mass consumer society currently in force, it is about the choice of our everyday products that I have thought the most and therefore wrote :) In a fairly general way, I will be to make sure that there are far less choices regarding the usual consumer products (food in particular !). From my point of view, all these periods of daily "micro-choices" during shopping prevent us from devoting ourselves mentally to decisions of a more important degree (for example, the state of our planet, our future, the trajectory we want to give to our own life, etc.)

Decisions, Decisions... Do More Options Help or Hinder?

Choice and freedom can often be synonymous. So the more options to choose from would seem to indicate more freedom, yet having lots of choice in life can be a double edged sword. On one hand choice is important because everyone's needs are different. I like to buy organic where possible and for the things I struggle to make at home I want to be able to purchase it without sugar or lots of additives. My neighbour probably prefers to just get the cheapest things available as long as it tastes good and the lady with allergies, further down the road, has allergies, therefore she has to avoid ingredients which will make her sick, even if it's not organic.

"Less Choices"

Too much of a Choice is always confusing for me.
Back home in India, for my daily grocery and utility stuff we had a very small supermarket near our place where I used to visit and get my stuff and it was always very simple for me. I used to pick up my stuff and also not spend much time there goofing around. I knew exactly what I wanted and there would be some options to select from which would be easy and time saving for me.

More Choice Or Less Choice?

The question seems to be simple but it is right up to the top that might be a subject for many studies. I will try to put my perspective from how my life had experienced or how my thoughts has shaped up occasionally. I strongly believe the more choices are always creates an uneasiness in our thought process making hard times in selecting which one out of many choices. Its really hard to make a final choice when there are too many options to pick from.

@priyanarc

Did you ever notice our life, if you observe thoroughly you will understand that everyday our life becomes complicated, even day by day. Why is that?? Can anyone define properly. This week @ecotrain ask everyone about Choice , your opinion , which one you prefer?? More or less choices... Let's talk about that... Post details. I have already made a video.

Choice: Illusion and Symptom

We speak of Choice as if it is a tangible item that we can employ either in Red mode (wide angle lens, if you will) or Blue (tighter focus). In contemplating which one I prefer, it came to me in the wee small hours (as clarity often does) that Choice is merely a symptom.

Choice is a symptom of our disconnection with Self. The greater the range of choices one FEELS, the less one is connected to one's purpose and the essence of Being which individuates each and every one of us.

@steelborne

Choice and free will may just very well be the greatest gifts we have as free willed human beings on this planet. Some of us reside in locations that have abundant choice, while others live in areas where choice can be more restricted. Regardless of individual living circumstances and political controls, to a large degree, we all still have the power of choice in most of our daily lives. What we eat, what we do for our careers, whom we choose to associate with, how we choose to behave and live, and many others that can alter the course of our lives throughout time.

The everyday struggle of Life- "More Choice Or Less Choice?"

Hello Wonderful People!

How is your day going?

Life is full of choices. And everything depends on what we choose for us; from our partner to our everyday meal. In this consumeristic world, it's really very difficult to decide what would be best for us from thousands of options.

I've got a very define choice in this regard, I mean choosing anything in my life. "I prefer to explore but try to make it minimum."

"DO I REFER MORE CHOICE OR LESS CHOICE IN MY LIFE"

Hello my Beloved steemians,

After a very long time i got a very significant question for my life, which is through by @ecotrain community. This question is very significant for me, because from a long time i'm trying to give a up a very bad habit from my life, but i failed. In the response of this question hope i will got some very valuable suggestion from some great person on steemit community.

Let's started with some funny and tragedy example of my life. From childhood i was very curious, always used to make angry to my Dad asking randomly question. Not only my but also everyone was so much Bothered upon me for my questioning mentality. I was always hesitated to making final choice or final decision and still i have this very bad habit.
