Gratitude: Yuletide
Dear human,
I am so grateful for time to heal,
time to sink away in layers of soft blankets,
nothing to do but stare at the fire
and pet the cat.
Eating a simple meal with my hands,
while looking at the trees sway in the wind.
Maybe I am not whole,
but I feel like I am,
in these moments where I am allowed to be broken.
