RE: ecoTrain Question Of The Week: What are the issues that lay behind the increasing trend of State taking children away from their parents, and what can be done to prevent abhorrent injustice?

in #ecotrain7 years ago

In some cases, children taking away from families who were abusive and treated them bad is a good thing. And there are some agencies doing a good job protecting these kids and taking care of them. But, then are some who make bad decisions, and kids are taken away from their birth prematurely and wrongly. Especially if the only problem family really has is on the financial side.

But, to be fair so many people also abuse welfare programs as well. But, like you said it is sad to see kids taken away from their families. Sometimes it turns out good, and sometimes those kids never find their place in the world. And, that is one sad reality of the world. So many people not even kids are lost.

Great post, well written and thought out, with an interesting topic to discuss. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. Have a great day. :)

Yes your viewpoints are all right. Where there is good, there is evil too and this is true for everything. There are some agencies doing great work, but sadly, there are agencies that rush through their work and don't prioritize the well-being of the kids much. And yeah, people abuse welfare programs too. I have heard stories where people have fabricated lies to get more from such welfare programs and in the process take away the rights of the truly needy. Thank you so much for taking out the time to read this post and leave such a thoughtful comment. :)

Unfortunately, we don't live in a perfect world and some kids get the worse of it. And, that is one sad reality. People can sometimes be a very strange "species". And this subject is a great example of it.

Thank you for writing such a great post. I enjoyed reading about this issue as it is a big issue which does need improvement. As kids deserve better. :)

Have an amazing day. :)

I believe humans are very strange. There is no limit to what a human mind can do and that is a very dangerous thing. Thank u for the great responses. It has been truly enjoyable.
