The surprising thing (to me, who hordes my own few coffee grounds and rations it in the garden!) was that 3 out of 4 of our cafes are throwing most of the coffee grounds in the trash. Partly cos I chose BUSY shops :) I guess, and partly cos too much in a small space makes the soil acidic. But yes, reducing a waste stream and making it win for someone else? haha... in our house we call that "karma points". :)
