Here's the latest Beveridge Curve for June (black). We are at the high end of the pre-pandemic curve now (gray).

This is about as clear a picture of a "soft landing" as you'll get. We fell back to the pre-pandemic curve without a large rise in unemployment.

Job openings are 4.9% and unemployment is 4.1%.
