Inflation in the euro zone has declined further. Inflation in the euro countries is 1.3 percent in January 2018 compared to the 1.4 percent in December 2017.

Inflation in January was also considerably lower than a year earlier, according to statistics from statistics bureau Eurostat on Friday. Then the inflation was a whopping 1.8 percent.
In addition, inflation in the European Union last year was 1.6 percent compared to 1.7 percent in December 2017.
With an inflation rate of 1.5 percent, the Netherlands is just above the average for the eurozone.

Of the 22 states, Cyprus (-1.5 percent), Greece (0.2 percent) and Ireland (0.3 percent) had the lowest inflation. In Lithuania, Estonia (both 3.6 percent) and Romania (3.4 percent), the currency devaluation was the greatest.
