Venezuela is Dying ...
Just want to share this article about the dire situation in Venezuela because I think it's super important to understand the underlying causes. It's just mind-boggling to imagine that people are actually starving and prices go up 1.5% every hour due to hyperinflation. Let's take this as a reminder to never fall into the socialist trap.
It's horrible what's going on there. Our friend went there and got robbed the first day he came, I saw a documentary just recently where you see that after dark there is no one on the streets.
We had a inflation similar to this in my country (Serbia) when I was a kid,
the prices in stores were changing every 12 hours and the prices were in billions.
yes, I also saw a youtube video recently from a supermarket, where a simple loaf of bread comsumes a quarter of the monthly salary. incredible...
I think Venezuela needs to adapt crypto ASAP, and avoid this hitman sanction of the US.
Indeed. It's truly sad to see what's happening to this country - it used to be pretty wealthy, lots of oil, gold etc.
But that's what dependency on oil does for you. Also, a socialist party is in power. As if that's ever a good idea.

Ja würde sagen es geht generell bergab va. auch Ecuador/Brasilien. Venezuela ist schon ein spezieller Fall, aber eben auch ein Musterbeispiel was passiert wenn der Staat alles reguliert und es keine Privatwirtschaft mehr gibt. Va. verglichen mit Chile, die Recht freie Märkte haben und mit Abstand am wohlhabensten sind mittlerweile.
