US Customs
No, this is not a post about national or regional traditions in the United States. It is about the US Customs and Border Protection Agency. According to Wikipedia, it is "...the largest federal law enforcement agency of the United States Department of Homeland Security."
This is an Orwellian pile of propaganda manure.
To be fair, if I put on my minarchist dunce cap, I could argue that they're the Constitutional revenue source for the United States government because they're the direct successors to the United States Customs Service that collected duties and import tariffs to fund the government prior to the 1913 income tax legislation, but racketeers are racketeers regardless of legislative "authority."
What are they really? Well, like pretty much every govermment program, you can look at their mission statement, and then reverse it to discern the truth.
MISSION STATEMENT
Why CBP exists...
To safeguard America's borders thereby protecting the public from dangerous people and materials while enhancing the Nation's global economic competitiveness by enabling legitimate trade and travel.
More accurately, it should read, "To enforce the Government's territorial monopoly in violence thereby imposing dangerous people upon the populace while hampering the economy through interference with the free exercise of trade and travel."
They're a law enforcement agency. That means the primary duty of its agents is enforcement of laws. The vast majority of laws are bad lawswritten to justify trespass against our natural rights to life, liberty, and property. Their enforcement necessarily interferes with trade and travel with only the excuse of somehow "protecting" us from nebulous threats. However, those alleged threats are more often than not artificial, while the government goons present real direct threats to our rights. They are part of the prohibition enforcement system that creates a violent black market from which they then disingenuously claim to protect us. They are part of the immigration enforcement system that results in incalculable human misery and poverty as they enforce arbitrary gang turf boundaries while enforcing their tax cattle ranch. They are funded with stolen money, and their job is often to steal more money.
They are parasites with propaganda, claiming to provide symbiotic benefits without even a shred of evidence. The CPB is just another alphabet soup agency of criminals operating under color of law. They are an entirely unnecessary evil. Afford these coproaches the level of respect they thus deserve.

Thats agency work for us people and also safty of us border.they protect the border and they deserve theyer life on there.
They do not work for us and they do not probide any safety or security when their job violates our safety and security by necessity.
Now do your next post on the chaos that would result if they were not there. Every imaginal disease would invade, killing or damaging all animals, destroying all the crops so there would be nothing to eat.

I think that threat is greatly overblown.
Their job is to collect taxes and enforce arbitrary laws against certain goods that present no intrinsic threat, not to protect us.
We suffer from that here in NZ. A stray bug got into the Kiwi fruit farms and about half of them were wiped out,
Another is killing our Kauri trees that have stood there for 1000 plus years, they are now skeletons standing above the forest tops.
US customs doesn't really protect against that, and even if they did, it's hardly proof that a government monopoly is necessary. Monopolies promote waste and abuse, government agencies are no exception, and US Customs is wasteful and abusive toward the very people they claim to serve.
Both bugs are thought to be by people bring then in undeclared, and smuggled through the border to affect otherwise good saleable crops. For the Kiwi fruit, it was thought to be a competitor to remove a better grower so his substandard fruit would be sold, Of course, if you don't mind getting 3rd or fourth grade fruit at top dollar it may not matter to you.
If every human being on earth was taught from the moment they were born, that they are the supreme masters of their consciousness, we wouldn't need laws and we wouldn't need borders...
