The Myth Of The Pink Tax

in #economics6 years ago (edited)

The Feminists on their mission to manipulate the masses in favour of their "movement" do not stop sharing false information and campaigning to promote such information with the help of their media, if you have heard about the "Gender Pay Gap", a myth which has been debunked many times to date, you will probably have heard about the "Pink Tax" another myth we will be talking about today.

I will try to explain everything that is wrong with this charade as briefly as possible. First of all, we must analyze why men pay less than women for certain products, this is not due to sexism or machismo, patriarchy, the Nazis, or some kind of hatred of women... No, this has a logical and very reasonable reason for this to be so. Day by day we can notice in supermarkets or anywhere else that they sell "men's" and "women's" products that there is a difference in prices between the two, usually those created "for women" are relatively more expensive, with some exceptions that are somewhat more scarce where "men's" products are the most expensive.

This is due to several factors, such as marketing and that you are not really comparing exactly the same products, for example, a razor for men is not the same as a razor for women, almost always the "feminine" product is superior to that of men, because it has, in the case of razors, more and better blades, a better head and some "extra", which obviously makes the product more expensive, because it has a better "technology", more product and in general is superior. Also, we can talk about shampoos or deodorants, obviously in these cases we are talking about formulas, so we must take into account the amount and diversity of chemicals found in each product, usually the female product has more components and more of them, which explains why the price.

In other words, you are not paying more for the pink color or for the simple fact of being a woman, you pay more because the product is better, has more quality, is more specialized or has more quantity, the main problem with feminists trying to explain this "pink tax" is that comparing color and size... All the other factors that can help to determine why a price is ignored are either because they are simply idiotic or because they really want to make a misinformation propaganda.

Another argument is clothing, keep in mind that clothing "for men" is simpler to make and clothing "for women" in addition to being more complex to make, usually have a better fabric, therefore the material used and labor involved explains the price of clothing.... I think I've already explained the point, it's not a sinister conspiracy, it's about basic economics and the fact that women like to buy more beauty products than men, and if they don't want to buy them, it's... There are men who like to buy beauty products, take care of their skin or face, as well as some who choose to buy women's products because they are better.

They have to take something into account, no one is forcing anyone to buy a particular product, if feminists are so sure that men's' products are exactly the same as women's products then why continue to buy women's products and not men's products, is it not because those products really justify their price by the quality they have?

Honestly, with the simple fact of watching some videos where feminists tried to "explain" and "demonstrate the supposed veracity of this "pink tax" you can realize if you analyze for a second, that the comparisons they make are total rubbish, you can't compare two products that are different is like comparing a laptop... With a better laptop, like comparing a shovel to a gardening shovel... "Why they don't cost the same if they're the same?" Because they're not the same, one is better than the other... Thanks for reading, peace.
