The diving photo is pretty amazing. Nice capture. I've seen quite a few grab a fish. Amazing they can take off with them. Even saw one come back, and drag his/her feet in the water, to clean them off. Pretty cool. I've only seen them on the river, though they probably do live on the ocean. Then again, an Orca might grab them as they dive. Saw an alligator do that to an egret once. 'Zoop', from below, and it was gone. Harsh life in the wilds.
Your el cheapo, as you call it, does a nice job. Some day I hope to replace my D-200. Money, money money. Why does it always become so necessary ( :
