Canadian eclipse with a twist
I was quite unprepared for this event, but none the less I snagged some stellar shots. Here is my viewing equipment, just a plain old welding mask, it worked quite well. They said there would be 78% coverage of the sun here.
My Samsung S6 didn't like photographing through the mask.
So I made my own eclipse with this old coin I found.
Yep those are dirty fingers.

Tried getting pics on my phone, but it just looked like the sun.
Yep, we'd need some kind of fancy camara thingy to do it right I suppose.
Yep, looks like pretty much the same thing I tried today. We must be around the same latitude or whatever as well, I think we were somewhere in the 70%, although it looked like much less to me.
