E-bike with regenerative breaking

Im an german electrical engineering student and always wanted an e-bike. They are somewhat expensive ( starting at 1000€ ) so i couldn't afford an official one. I made my research and went an aliexpress. Couple months later, here I am with the parts: Kelly KLS motor controller with recuperation , 1500W hub motor, RaspberryPi4. I plan is to make my normal bike into an smart e-bike with regenerative braking. Maybe I can write my bachelor thesis about maximising the efficiency. My github: https://github.com/domib97/ebike
