Peter Cottontail on the Bunny Trail
Let me tell you what rabbits have to do with Easter, for those of you who do not know. Since they are prolific procreators, they are a symbol of new life. A story began in Germany in the 1600's that the Easter bunny was a hare that laid eggs and hid them in the garden. People used to make nests in the gardens for the Easter bunny to lay its eggs. Through the years, the nests became decorated baskets that were full of candy and jelly beans which the Easter bunny delivered on Easter morning, and you had to hunt for the eggs in the gardens.

Easter Bread is a ceremonial traditional ukrainian bread that is baked specially for Easter. The tradition is to bake small breads to every member of family and one big for the whole family. It is the main Easter symbol along with eggs here.

Speaking of rabbit stew...that is one of the stories I wrote about in the past. I didn't like telling that story because it had a sad ending and I am all about happy endings.
