Earthquake in Alaska
About 3 days ago a 7.9 earthquake struck off the coast of Alaska. Since 1906 there have been 12 major earthquakes above 7.0 . The 1964 earthquake measuring 9.2 was one of the biggest ever in North America. The real significance of this is the Ring Of Fire has 10 volcanoes erupting all around in the Pacific Rim. We should now expect volatility to rise. After the 1964 quake, 1965 saw 18 magnitude events. Two of these were above magnitude 8 and struck with in 10 days of each other.
