Letting go of what is not you and does not support you, being in most cases based in negative energy. Is important to realise indeed.
I do however think that to gain balance one needs to aswell also stay in your own power of action, that is creative positive action.
Otherwise all that positive energy created by focusing on the feeling when letting go of negativity, have nowhere to go and thus wil not be fully realised.
That is my perspective and thoughts when reading / listening to this messege. Energy wants to be actuated.
