Music On Earth

"Music on earth is a reflection of the greater 'music of the spheres', a harmony created by relative distances and rates of motions of the planets. A harmony that is constantly present, if only people were sufficiently sensitive to hear it." ~ Yudkin, Jeremy, Music in Medieval Europe, 1989).

We must live in harmony with our environment in order to maintain human life and reach full human potential. We can begin to see into music and its effect on our experience.
The "Sham.Ana", which is called a vehicle of Shamanic Star Flight, is at the same time also a sacred drum.
The drum then is a tool that has much more importance and potential than most give it credit for or begin to comprehend. Can one pick up a drum and instantly become a Shaman. Sure. In fact since a drum, like a dog, is neutral to its environment it is only ever moved to behave according to what is projected upon it. This fact then leads to another insight. Every nuance, every synapse, and every belief in the consciousness of the player is transformed into sound.

The player is, all of a sudden, naked spiritually. This puts a whole new meaning to exposure and vulnerability when one decides to pick up a drum and beat it in front of others. This becomes even more enhanced when we move to play with others, like in a drum circle.
Each drum has a voice of its own and like every other thing here on this planet, we are only borrowing it for a short time. The only thing then, of our own, is the art piece or "way" one combines all the elements involved. So a "way shower" is not a realistic possibility since no one but you can ever be you. The unique creation that appears through the combined frequencies and matters that you are is sacred and unable to be duplicated in past or future. Transparency, our willingness to share ourself as clearly and openly as humanly possible, and a desire to get along then becomes the main challenge in regards to quality in drumming, music, art, and life itself.
