Potential Worth Of An Average Earthling(XCIII)
In this world endowed with extremes in wealth and poverty, ever wondered what would be the worth of an average earthling as an equitable stakeholder in planet earth? In my expedition into the unknowns of this new super asset class of Influence Capital, I attempt an answer.
In financial accounting, an asset is any resource owned by an entity. Anything tangible or intangible that can be owned or controlled to produce value and that is held by an entity to produce positive economic value is an asset.
Valuing assets is a specialized skill. There are all kinds of appraisers. And now there’s a planetary appraiser, who created a scientific method to value our mother earth. Greg Laughlin is an astrophysicist who developed a special formula for determining how much worlds are worth. The following formula accounts for such factors as a planet’s size, mass, temperature, age, etc. to arrive at a price.
The appraised value of Earth estimated by Laughlin is $5 quadrillion dollars. This value depends on how well we the inhabitants keep it.
Hypothetically if there was a buyer anywhere in the universe, each of the 7.7 billion inheritors of mother earth would have a share worth $0.65 million. Yes, the poorest alms seeker on the street would be worth at least $0.65 million.
