American Bald Eagle Saved From Extinction
This is Aurora. She is a Bald Eagle currently residing at the Dallas Zoo to demonstrate how the little things we do can help save the planet. I'm no tree hugger but this is great news. I remember hearing as a kid that the Bald Eagle has neared extinction because of pollutants and pesticides.
Fast forward two years and as a parent I'm being told that recycling did make a difference. This makes me feel as if we have accomplished something as a society.
