Dwarf Fortress: Test zone duel - Dwarf versus bonobo

Just a short post about the game, Dwarf Fortress.

I've been writing a story based on my play of DF. Now I fooled a bit with the test area of DF, which is inbuilt in the game. You can create different creatures with different skills and weapons to try out different things - or just for fun.

Today, I decided to create a showdown of a grand master fighter bonobo, called Bonobo 1 and a less skillful but armed dwarf, Dwarf 22. I made a huge wrestling combat between 21 dwarves earlier, which should explain the name of Dwarf 22.

I gave Dwarf 22 only leather armor, as I thought even a skillful bonobo wrestler couldn't win an full armored dwarf in combat.

Aand this is how it ended. Those small number 2's around the ground.. they are Dwarf 22's teeth. He happened to get punched in face real bad. That didn't cause him to bleed to death, but he took a proper beating.

Here you'll see a short snap of the combat log. Luckily, Dwarf 22 was pretty pleased when his end was closing in.

The bonobo got lucky though, his head seems to be torn open but he survived. He might get an infection in his head and die later, but lucky for him, his fighting skills helped him to avoid most of the swings of Dwarf 22.
