Dancing with Ducks

A photo of me communing with the abandoned ducks and geese of Verde Village, Arizona. These ducks and geese are domestic which means they are bred to rely entirely on humans for their food, shelter, and safety. Unlike wild ducks they cannot Migrate to find food or get away from harm, their wings are too short or they're too heavy. Many people will get ducks or geese for Easter and then abandon them at local ponds when they get too big thinking they can fend for themselves. These ducks and geese are malnourished due to lack of proper waterfowl feed, many people feed them bread and popcorn which is unhealthy for them as bread does not have all the nutrients ducks need to keep healthy. I wish I could save them all but I was able to at least feed them some healthy food.
