DTubeSnap+ Vlog || Changing His Feeding Tube (the mouth of his stomach) | I don't like to do this but I love to share with DTubers
Hi DTubers,
My CDH son was complaining earlier about severe pain at his tummy, then we notice blood oozing out from his stoma (the belly hole). Oh my, didn't know it was so soon. I always dread doing this - changing his feeding tube - because it breaks my heart. It was an expensive set (around 172 SBD) but it was the pain in him that I could not endure. I love him so much.
Many of my friends and social media peers have been curious about this, so I figured, since I was changing it, might as well I share with my fellow DTubers.

I usually hardened my heart to do this. Or maybe I have gotten used to it. I can't differentiate too. But yes, after that pain, he is back to normal after that. Glad that his pain threshold is high. :)

It is alright @rehan12. We have got used to it and he will be better. If I don't have him, I would feel the same like what you feel now. But now after having him, I found out alot of children all around the world need tube-feeding too for various reason. Many had graduated from it. They took out the feeding button and celebrate their graduation. To 100% eating by mouth.
I am waiting for the day. Hehe.

He will one day recover from tube-feeding when he eats enough. Meaning they will take out the tube and let the hole closes by itself. But now he is still failure to thrive so still need tube-feeding.
No worries at all my friend @sudutpandang. It can be sad but he is used to it. So are we. There are many tube-feeding children around just that we don't show. We hide under the cloths.
So I am showing it, he is still a happy child. Hehe. I have learn to be stronger after I have him. Things will look better as he grows.
But his lungs due to CDH will not recover. His right lung will forever be small. His left lung is doing alot of work to maintain his body's oxygen leven. Unless miracle happen haha.

It means that his lungs that have not been guaranteed can be like yes @iamjadeline , we need that miracle ... there must be a miracle, I will pray for a miracle for him, there must be a miracle for him @iamjadeline ... There must be ...
He feels pain on and off. There are the side effect of his surgeries since young. But we do think his pain threshold is high (boleh tahan sakit). So only when during certain time he experienced more pain then he would not eat at all. So the tube-feeding helps alot.
We are aware of the complications and we live day by day. Have learned not to worry too much because worry can't help us as well. Seeing him enjoy his life we also enjoy with him.

Oh yes. Whenever Jansen is going through pain, or stuff like this, he would asked his brother to be there with him. So happen his brother was not well, so skip school, hence he could be around to cheer him up.
Haha. I always did video when my husband is out to work. So he has no chance in this video. But he did appear at another video of mine sometime back. So yup, no divorce here.
