Haha I am happy I am not alone... I spent a few hours trying to get it working on ten too. After installing more visual studio libraries it was still failing. Haven't put it on Linux yet, will probably startup a VM on hyper-v when I get more time to mess with it.

yes it shouldn't be too hard. i was never a huge fan of linux but i guess i better get used to it now.

I was able to get it going. I used kubuntu for the VM. I have been tinkering around with steemdata most of the night.

Stepping away and then coming back to a problem definitely helps. But it can be difficult to actually do it. You might think about making yourself take 15 minute mandatory breaks every few hours. Just so you get up and move around.

Even in an office I can get carried away and look up and lunch is over, I can only imagine how it would be if I didn't have others around.

yea getting carried away is real easy. today i did it again 😆
it's also hard to take real breaks while you're at the office (which is one of the reasons i quit)
anyways i'm gonna take your advise. i'm gonna really try to have those mandatory 15 min breaks.

I have thought about getting something like a fitbit that would remind me to move around if I have been sitting still to long.

that sounds interesting. at one point i thought about having a simple timer on my phone. but never actually did it.

what mic do you use btw ? it sounds good, considering i'm looking for one to buy :D

i have a blue yeti. i think it's great for its price. i bought it after i converted steem into some korean won.

yh i was thinking of getting the blue yeti, i just didn't know if i should get that or the at2020 XLR version with interace. the at2020 will cost me more but sounds better, but i see no difference tbh with the yeti. i think ill just go with the yeti.
did you convert SBD? on binance?

i think there's a clear difference. the problem is i don't wanna spend the extra money. for me blue yeti is good enough. for youtubers with millions of followers, probably not.

for steem conversion i use a local korean exchange (bithumb or upbit). i don't think there's any access from the outside. i'm sure there's a ton of different exchanges out there that you can trade and have the money transferred to your bank account.

Do you know Cygwin?

It's basically a Windows version of a lot of GNU and Open Source tools that make the developers life much easier on Windows. The big advantage over using a VM is, that it runs as a native Windows program and thus requires much less overhead.

Since I just use Linux, I can't really try if pip works on Cygwin, but it should work without much fuss.

i've only heard about it. don't have any experience with it.
thanks for letting me know. maybe i'll give it a try!
