RE: Will DTube Be At Vidcon Next Year? 😇 | Vlog #146

Personally, I think it will take longer than a year....mainly because the majority of users that didn't originate from steemit itself, are on dtube from youtube and still use youtube....
It likely won't be recognized until either a large account leaves youtube and switches over, or dtube finds it's own first major presence.
I don't see dtube pulling THAT off until they use that delegation they have and buy a big name with guaranteed upvote revenue.
Promise of maybe an upvote won't cut it.
They need to guarantee no less than 100% upvote, once a week, to a weekly "show", as well as guarantee a "trending" post on their front-end.

Yeah, totally. But that entitlement for a guaranteed upvote would piss a lot of people off. The incentive is just not there at the moment, especially if DTube want exclusive content only.

Yes.

You also have this issue of majority of platforms currently tries to throw more and more content in your face and only look at watch time instead of the community aspect and the connections people are building.

The real value is more low key and it's harder to measure. The real value is that people are using the network to do daily transactions. Every platform has their own special community feel. And it's hard to create a new one by just using content. It needs to happen more organic.

True, not many mention the transaction part of it at all
