Top 10 reasons not to vote for Maxime Bernier and the People's Party

Since I made this video a couple months ago, Maxime Bernier has changed his immigration policy from 250,000 to 250,000 or less and then to 100 to 150 thousands. Then we saw the "End Mass Migration" posters. Does it make me wrong (at least when it comes to whether or not #Bernier has a solution to fix #immigration)? Not really.

First of all, PPC support is still stuck at 2-4%, slightly above the pollsters' margin of error. So, Maxime Bernier can promise anything he wants - he'll never have the political power to keep his promises.

Second - Maxime Bernier's approach to immigration in the last 3 years, his evolution from a fis-con Libertarian to "where do we draw the line?", from 250,000 to "250,000 or less" and then to "100,000 to 150,000" shows that Maxime Bernier is either the kind of leader that is quick to compromise on something he used to believe in or perhaps he doesn't really care about immigration and doesn't mind changing his position to appease his supporters.

Third - the very fact that these "End Mass Migration" billboards were put by a third party (though Bernier didn't really care to distance himself and his party from that organization), highlights yet another serious problem with the #PPC. That is - most PPC supporters see the party for what they want it to be, not for what it really is. While this clearly shows that there is a huge demand here in Canada for a nationalist populist political party, this doesn't make the PPC that party they want. If anything, that's an insult to Maxime Bernier as a leader. What kind of leadership is that if one allows someone else to speak for his party, to define what his party now stands for?

And finally - this election is still about unseating Trudeau. This election is still about whether or not the Liberals will have the power to take away our freedom of speech. The only party that has any viable chance to defeat the Liberals is the Conservative party. The only political leader that is not going to bring back #section13 of the "human rights act" (thus taking away what's left of our freedom of speech), the only leader that will not back the Liberals when they introduce the bill to reinstate section 13 - is Andrew Scheer.

So, this election - it's either Scheer or Trudeau. No third option. It's either 4 more years of Trudeau and stricter laws against what Trudeau sees as "hate speech" or 4 years with Scheer, who may not do much to solve all these problems that plague Canada, but at least won't make it a crime to discuss them.

Once Trudeau is out, it will make sense to join the People's Party and get ready for the new policy and leadership conventions which could become grandiose "unite the right", "unite the nationalists", "unite the Canadian people" conventions. But for now, until the ballots are counted, voting PPC is just that - splitting the vote for nothing.
