Travel Pro Interviews #9: Edward from Brazil Tells How he Travels on Less than $100 a month! Part One Transportation. (10 min video)

in #dtube7 years ago

Hey there friends and followers. I had the pleasure of meeting Edward from Brazil just the other day here in Pai Thailand. I've met a handful of extreme budget travelers over the years; but I've never met one like Edward. This guy really has it figured out on a whole other level; and explains everything with a philosophy, spirit, and mindset that is truly impressive.

He is a smart guy! He even graduated from law school only to leave everything behind and live life how he sees fit on practically no money at all! He's been living a nomadic travel lifestyle for over four years and spends on average less than $100 a month!

How in the world does he do this you may ask? Well you're just going to have to listen to this five part interview series and by the end you will have learned how to do it yourself! Always a smile ear to ear, Edward has things figured out and is so happy to share it with all of us.

The interviews are broken up into five 10 minute segments covering "Edward's Three Pillars of Travel Expense" and how he approaches them. Thus being; transportation, accommodation, and food. In the fourth interview we talk all about money, and what money really is according to Edward. In the fifth and final bonus interview Edward tells us about happiness, and what happiness really means to him.

Now let's enjoy, learn, and get ready to be amazed and inspired on how Edward lives his life to the fullest; and how you can too!

Hah man, put the camera down please :D This is my first vid I watch from these series of yours and it's indeed a good concept, but please put that camera down :D And hitchiking for the win!! I have that in common with Edward :)

Hey buddy. What do you mean put the camera down?

Oh haha I didn't explain myself clearly haha :D this might have actually sound offensive right :D

I meant, you're holding the camera in your hand and it's shaking, I'd suggest you put it on the table. It'd really make up for the better watching experience..but maybe it's just me.

Ahh. I see. I was thinking you meant either that. Or go get a life and stop filming so much! Both may be appropriate. lol Thanks for clarifying. I'm going to try to work on my quality. Appreciate the tip. Have a great day buddy.

Edward has this calm exterior on him, nice vibe. You can see he trusts the universe to bring him what and where he wants, I love that!
Pepper spray and steel-toed boots would be my remedy haha. Funny enough, here in Ireland it's actually quite common to hitchhike because not everyone has a car, and
public transport can be expensive and it won't get you to every place unless you want to spend half a day to get to a place 30 miles away.
So people are very much inclined to stop and bring someone along. I do this on a regular basis when I see someone trustworthy enough (It goes the other way around as well). One question: Is Edward on Steemit now? :) What a great encounter! Maybe an idea for you of a way to travel next?

Wow, I had no idea Ireland was like that with Hitchhiking. So good to hear from you. So glad you enjoyed the interview. Yes, Edward is a unique individual and above all else a great person. As far as me starting to hitch hike, or ever doing tht. I highly doubt it, just a bit out of my comfort zone. I've got the funds and income, and have not problem spending them on comfort and convenience. I get the social aspect of it, but I like to be a bit more in control of that as well. In some ways I'm a bit jealous of him....he's just more of free spirit than I am I suppose. But one thing is for sure there is no right or wrong way to get around the globe, but apparently Edward does it the free way!
