My condolences for your loss. Your trip is a good way to heal the pain and remember the good times with your father. Losing someone is difficult but being around with family on trips eases up the burden in some way.
So very true. I find myself remembering his smile and laugh the most, this is a great thing. I will be getting out more because the sun helps with the depression and I have to fight it really hard right now. It's amazing how getting outside in the trees, water, and wilderness helps to heal.
