The Phileas Fogg Theatre Company
At our sons school they organise a evening theatre every year hosted by Phileas Fogg. This company comes every year to organise a show with the kids. The show is completely in English because the school is a bi-lingual school, so 80% of their lessons are in English. I first met the Phileas Fogg people at the show of our oldest son. I was amazed by the enthousiasm of the people and how quick the are able to learn the kids the parts and their roles.
What they do is first divide the class in two, then every group gets a real actor as a teacher. In just half an hour the kids learn their part by listening, doing and repeating. Within the hour the whole class know their parts and lines and after that it is showtime. This video is of our youngest playing a poor kid from old England.
The goal of the show is to get the kids used speaking a foreign language, also while their doing things outside their comfortzone like acting. I think it is a brilliant way which is loved by the kids very much.

It think it is a great way for the kids to use the english language in real use and with a fun excersise, and for parents it is real fun to watch.
That's a great initiative. I hope more schools across the world take inspiration from this :)
