"Steemit Won't Survive" - Here are my Counter Arguments
"The Reward pool is being destroyed, the bots ruin everything, the rewards are too low" I have heard it all.
The people that write these statements make no cash as minnows, the whales have no clue how Steemit works because they only invest here and witnesses that support the blockchain saying that it sucks are hypocritical.
Facts
Here are my arguments why Steemit will thrive and those are my personal opinions based on my experience and knowledge.
I have started on Steemit with 0 investments and in 3 months of posting twice per day, I managed to score an average of 2400USD per week.
I didn't even make 10 dollars in my first month of posting every day but I continued to post and I still made more in 1 month than I did by posting for 6 months on my old blog.
I will be financially independent at the end of February and all that thanks to Steem, so much for it attracts flies and Ponzi Scheme.
The bots don't rape anything and what the fuck is the reward pool even? It doesn't fucking matter.
You can come here as a nobody with 0 investments and make 2400 USD per week by posting twice per day for 3 months (at the current SBD rate) and by learning more about steem for 10 days per minute! I am the living proof.
"The witnesses aren't doing anything about" They don't need to. The value of Steem and Steem Dollars is still rising and the blockchain is more stable than the Bitcoin blockchain. Besides that, the website is really stable!
So no, Steemit won't go anywhere and my prediction is that Steem will be worth $100 at the end of this year.
I say that because the feature to make a lot of cash by posting here attracts the whole blogging word which is gigantic and which is working its ass off to make money which they will easily get here.

Thank you, Earl, should have recorded the video today now where I have a 20k delegation (only for 12 days then I will have 10K for 3 months) which will give me a huge profit since I bought it when the Steem price was just $3. Steem is now worth around 8 and that means I got twice the amount that I paid ( at the moment at least ).
Anyway, I was sipping on Krombacher it is the only enjoyable Pilsener in my opinion because it is still very watery and not too bitter.
Otherwise, I only drink Kölsch (Reisdorf) which is brewed in my area or Hefeweizen which usually comes from Bavaria.
I sound like a beer connoisseur but I am not, I just tried many beers throughout my life and I enjoy them once in a while because of its taste and because it is a part of German culture.
By the way, I know my ancestors drank mead from horns, I really have to buy a horn for myself and get my hands on some mead soon, I will get that into the forest as well and spill it on the ground as a gift for Odin.

Steemit can only survive and thrive. It just makes sense and word is catching on from what I can see since my return. Loads of great new content on a range of subjects. I also noticed there is a lot of newbies with shock posts about the end of everything but they wont survive because who needs that in their life? I don't. They just do not get it and are trying to make a cheap buck. Steemits value come through in the 'industriousness' and dedication of true steemians. Even if no one else signed up I would still be here because it is great.
Cashed out 40SBD and now have 300 € in my wallet.
I make that in average on 1 day here on Steem.

I just don't agree with people that go searching for things to complain about, leaving stupid hateful, though well-worded, comments on something when they don't know the whole story. They just assume they do.

No problem Snook, it is Okay that you feel like that. You are the captain of your soul, if they act against your values and morals then it is justified that you feel angry.
We should continue to improve non stop. So far I don't think the current drama detracts from the promise of the platform as much as people are saying, even though I will say there is something to be worried about in terms of abuse. It's not clear how it impacts yet. You and I have largely steered clear of that mess, we are still getting a good amount of pay.
But it's a bit like Bitcoin. If enough bad actors get together they can threaten the whole network and ruin the party for everyone. There is a fight going on between abusers and people using the platform in good
faith. We'll see how the whales deal with business...

I think Steemit is here to stay for the foreseeable. It has come a long way so far and it just keeps getting better. Sure its far from perfect, but its perfect for making a living from.

I believe the problems will be solved, but there are some problems.
In my opinion, the biggest one being the fact that most of the people here are into cryptocurrency and as such posts about cryptocurrency get the most upvotes. Most of the blogging in the world is not about cryptocurrency and as such, it becomes chicken and an egg problem. People who are into something else do not come here, and people who blog about something else do not come as well.
It is getting better of course with time, but it will take a while before most of the blogging will be about something else.
I make and made good cash with posts which are not about steem.
You can make money with other topics, but you can't argue that cryptocurrency posts are most profitable. It's not the fault of anyone, but circumstance. It should get better with time and profits should start to be more evenly distributed, hopefully.

It is good enough if you already have a following and decide to write about some obscure topic.
If you are plankton that came here to write about that obscure topic only it will take a while before the stuff is even going to get read.

I do agree with both issues.
Steemit should promote valuable content, and reward those authors accordingly. The value of the platform is in direct correlation with its content.
Second issue is as pressing and important as the first, without the use of the coin to purchase goods and services the future is questionable.
People that use bots on a continues basis ruin their reputation and they don't have followers because they only post shit.
So they basically are the problem and the solution.
In 2012 YouTube had an estimated 500 Million accounts, if even 10% join Steemit or DTube the potential is enormous. I'm riding this wave no matter what anyone says, you can't win if you don't participate. Greetings!
