99.0% of people in this world give up on their dreams. That is sad, isn't it? Most of them die with regrets knowing they didn't give it their everything.

Charles Darwin said that "A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life." ´

and yet almost everyone says "tomorrow" or "later" and then they are 60 years old.

Today's post is about giving up and how to avoid it. But my method is different than all the other methods. I actively give up every day to reach my goals, Charles Darwin style.

Actively Giving Up

Actively give up what prevents you from reaching your goals. Quit laziness like an alcoholic quits alcohol and always practices abstinence. This is definitely not easy. You need serious discipline.

People that give up have lost belief, confidence and faith. Funny enough those are all illusions - Good illusions. To not give up you need to believe that you will make it 100% and you need to be so confident in it that giving up is not even a question.

Steem is fucking easy for example, 4 months of work with no investment and I am almost financially independent.

The better something feels the harder it is to quit. Look, there is no easy way around this. Success requires sacrifice.

Sacrifice of playing video games every day, sacrifice of not smoking weed anymore, sacrifice of not chasing booty anymore. And that is just the start.

You will have to quit your laziness. You will have to go to the gym and stick to a fixed diet to look lean and mean. How are you going to get fit by being lazy? That is impossible.

To actively give up means to practice discipline & to believe in yourself.

Discipline & Faith

If you do not believe in yourself then you have many other problems you need to tackle. People that don't believe in themselves are losers because they always quit. They quit because it is "hard".

They don't realize that being a winner or a loser is simply a choice. You can decide every damn day to be disciplined and to work on your goals or to not do it.

Have you ever worked till you dropped on your keyboard? I did. I worked 48hours in a row with a gym session in between.

So don't tell me that your shit is hard. You don't know what hard is. Working 10 hours per day is fucking easy when you work towards your own goals.

You can't do otherwise after a while because you value yourself and your goals. You know that winning is a choice so you decide to win every day.

So how to be a disciplined person? Simple -> Piss on your feelings and do it anyway. Do the work when you feel depressed, sad, angry, frustrated, bored, horny etc.

Just do the fucking work anyway. That is one of the keys to success. Don't let your damn feelings control you and do what is required to reach your damn goals.

Fire! One of the best things that has helped me pursue what I want is cutting things out or sacrificing things as you said. Most people don't have the discipline to do it but when there's something that you are so on fire about it's hard to just give up on it.

So I say keep stirring the fire and let the fire burn down anything that is trying to stop you from accomplishing what you are trying to accomplish. This is easier said than done but nothing is impossible.

Well said Earl.

A thing that really helps me is to do courageous acts and to write down a negative habit which I will chase relentlessly to murder it in 30 days.

With self-believe it is easier to give things up, one gets used to choose the better way for the future.

agrees laziness to win is hard. Some do not even try to find an excuse. It's easy to be a fat asshole, but it's much harder to get up and change everything in one day.
For this, of course, willpower is required, and most important is perseverance and patience. At the beginning of your journey, people will tell you that you can not do anything. But it's just the same assholes (in most cases) who also have nothing behind them.
The main thing is not to listen to anyone, to persist and believe in yourself, and even approach with all the mind to all affairs, then everything must turn out.
Thank you, excellent advice, as always!

Thank you and 100% agree.

I don't believe in myself as much as you do. But just reading how you've gone through it all makes me want to work harder. :)

Life is a huge battle, and only the ones that fight it deserve Valhalla.

Cheers mate, good post!

Charles Darwin is the real MVP.

Life is series of decisions, whether they be the right ones or wrong ones.

100% Helen.

Every day you have to make the right ones.

Piss on feelings and just do it. This resonates with me with some fun visualizations in my head. Agreed though, just have to tough it out.

Imagine peeing on yourself because you feel like crying.

"Stop crying you pussy".
