Yea, the prices are insane here. Really great value for what you get. That's one of the reasons why we are focusing on establishing a location independed work lifestyle. Money goes waaay further here in Asia. We are really pumped and excited about it, hope that the excitement will not go away.
Wait did you say $75k USD or $750k USD?

I see haha... so its one tiny apartment in Toronto or 5 big houses in Thailand...
hahah right. omg life choices. let me know when you are moving in Thailand. haha but that's so true, especially now when majority of countries here in South East Asia are developing and developing fast.
How are the prices for everything else, like food?
utilities for 2 people would be anything from 20-40USD a month (water and electricity), internet would be around 20USD (a really good one). food it always depends where you eat (as Thailand is known for its street foods) but eating in a local place would be around 1-2usd per dish and at a restaurant (city center) from 2usd (basic salad) to 15usd for a full size meal in an expensive place. but casual dinning would be something around 5-6usd per meal. It's incredibly cheap if compared to western world. And the local airport has amazing deals for flights to Bangkok - 20USD for majority of flights to BKK. And from BKK you can go anywhere in Asia for less than 100USD. Really great location to base yourself if you are looking to explore SEA countries.
