DTube Account Login Issues

Hey internet,

I hope this finds you well and happy.

I'm investigating D Tube as a platform to put up my content, but every time I try to create an account I end up getting directed around in circles.

1 - Do I need a Steemit account to create an account on D tube?
2 - Whenever I try to login/ create an account on D Tube, I get a message stating that 'This post no longer exists' and I get directed to Steemit.

I get it, I'm old, but this sort of thing really confuses me. Am I missing something?
