Things that STEEMIT D.TUBE need to do!
Not sure if this is correct place to comment about d.tube things but here is a list.
- The signup and login process is a convoluted mess that takes over a week to complete (including several login pages to go through)
- The video player does appear to experience some lag for some reason, I understand that the CPU usage is %20-30 due to mining BUT that shouldn't cause lag. Secondly there is some buffering issues also, add a custom buffer range option!
- The video player has no theatre viewing mode which stretches video to %80-90 of screen width, this can be done by moving the related videos section alongside comments and NOT the video. (on 4k screens, the player is quite small, and full-screen disables multitasking)
- Consider implementing a dynamic comment system that doesn't require a page refresh (something that YT doesn't even do!)
Other then basic video player optimisations, it seems like a good start, I hope these above points are addressed at some stage because atm it feels like YT Alpha 1.0!
