LBRY plus Steemit / DTube is a killer combination.
LBRY is very good. It has everything I want from this style of video hosting platform in addition to full decentralization. The only thing left for this to be absolutely over powered would be to get DTube to accept cross posted links from LBRY.

OMG its taking forever to load your LBRY video on my super fast corporate network.
I suppose in a decentralized platform I have to download the video directly from your machine or something since there would be no fancy load balancing or optimizations. I'll just keep typing on here until your vidoe loads.

The Decentralized paradigm is really interesting and I know you are all about it. From a technical point of view the only way to make your video load faster its to grant more nodes in the decentralized network access to your video. Its kind of how old Napster use to work, right? If you you downloaded Enter Sandman from Homie1 then you have a copy so if Homie2 wants to download Enter Sandman then the algorithm will steam the file from the node that is closest so in this case there are two options You and homie1, so if it is the case both are online then you have two seeds available to download the file much faster.

Ok so its like LBRY is having outages or something. Which is funny because that's not supposed to possible. :X
But yeah how you describe it is exactly how it should work. If you run the app and leave it open it should allow people to download from your local folder of videos.
