I like it.

It’s really clean, easy to use and I earned $15 from making this video on YouTube as part of the quest, how cool is that? Even better than that It get’s paid out today in four hours time — you know what I’m gonna do with that fund? Not sure yet but I’ll probably set up some quests that help me do my social media easier!

The addition of combining both your hunter and maker elements together under one account is brilliant — this means that I can do everything I want from the one dashboard, something that was lacking from the previous version.

In the previous version you would also have to wait a very long time to get any kind of payout from the system which was not good for retention on the platform of users in them coming back (hardcore hunters will of course!) so this new addition that you get paid out same day (I believe in 4 hours)

This is really good because it means you can jump in, complete tasks and use those funds for either your own quests or eventually use in a store or get gift cards, it’s a perfect little crypto faucet and it’s great to see HUNT still being used for that.

One thing that I find especially smart with this move away from the steem blockchain is that it appears the stacks blockchain by block stack has a monthly contest called ‘app mining’ — some of the best apps get a monthly payout for building applications on the chain. I think this is SO smart and it seems much easier than the hoops you have to jump through with steem.

It’s also one of the major reasons why I’ll always support the steemhunt team guys is that they know when to pivot, they know when to change things up and make it simple and they know how to jump on an opportunity, the fact that they have turned this around so quickly is amazing and I really hope they get up those leaderboards.

I’m not sure where this leaves us when it comes to idea hunt and using the steem blockchain for idea hunt but it’s great to see a dedicated team use whatever ‘best in class’ blockchain software there is out there to build a useful tool for content creators and makers like me that also like to HUNT a little bit from time to time! :)

I’m excited to see what comes next with the gift cards and the store and I think that if they can keep a healthy balance of tasks for hunters and makers posting jobs for people to do then they should have a nice little transaction ecosystem to build from.
