Blockchain Explained! Plus Uses of Blockchain Technology!

So one of the reasons to join this amazing decentralised social media is the fact that it uses Blockchain technology. While I have mentioned this in many videos, I never really fully explained what Blockchain technology actually is and what it can be used for. So in this video/blog post I take a look at the official Wikipedia page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blockchain and I go through the following usage points:

• Blockchain explained
• Blockchain in Cryptocurrencies
• Blockchain Smart Contracts
• Financial Services
• Video Games
• Supply Chain
• Other uses

To put it in my own words, Blockchain technology is awesome because it documents everything using cryptography and everything someone does can be viewed by anyone who knows where to look. You can now also proof that you are the owner of a certain asset, for example a @steemmonsters card. I believe this game will be the next Cryptokitties, meaning we will soon have at least one card that will sell for about $100k, just like a virtual pet on Cryptokitties.

Please note I am still learning about Blockchain technology and I’m no expert at this stage, I’m just amazed by all the possibilities and I learn as much as I can about this exciting technology. Anyways the point of this video and block post is to explain blockchain, thank you for watching and/or reading this post!
