WAFF (World Amputee Fitness Festival) is an annual gathering that takes place in Chiang Mai, Thailand from 24th September to 15th October. The event is described as an experiment in promoting fitness & sports within the amputees and in the world community as well.
The festival is governed by the three key principles:
- participation & collaboration
- self-reliance and self-expression
- community cooperation & civic responsibility
At WAFF, fitness enthusiasts, especially amputees, from all over the world come together to host and participate in various events including, but not limited to Running, Swimming, Cycling, Hiking, Weight lifting, bodybuilding, Yoga, Dance, Badminton, Table Tennis, Basketball, Rock climbing, Muay Thai, Boxing etc.
