RE: Final Sunset of 2017 Dec 31st !

thanks, I think i will be looking into another camera specifically for timelapses though. I've used others that auto correct for exposure all along the timeframe whereas the Cannon 80d stays set at a specific exposure and then you need to go back in and edit/average the exposure. Overall I do like the versatility of this camera and is great one to have for any occasion. Would just prefer to have less erratic results when shooting these due to the amount of time this entire process takes

Would it be possible to set it to automatic and start timelapse shoots then or would you need a additional gadget?

Ive thought a lot about buying the 80d. its a good camera. has silent autofocus and the flip screen. i wish my nikon had those features. then it would be perfect

I have some videos saved on the Cannon 80d to watch to see if I am missing the auto feature, but I've tried several options and it just seems to stay set at the starting settings with no additional options to account for darkening or the opposite when i shoot sunrises. It usually gets too bright at the end. Either way, when the lighting is like it is in this timelapse it works really well and in fact adds some nice mood to it.

would this solve the issue?
