FUNKY Version Of Skyfall by Adele (Noah Guthrie Version) - 2 Hours To Learn & Record A New Cover Complete!
Channeling my inner James Bond, this was a lot of fun to play with it's funky feel. I absolutely love the trademark chord progression in the middle and at the end.
I found this song yesterday and gave myself 2 hours to figure it out on my set today before racing off to a batting practice workout right now. About 30 minutes was spent tinkering with the drum sounds and balance to get a kit I liked.
Spoiler Alert: there are some timpani rolls to honor the classic James Bond feel.
I think it came out good enough for such a short turnaround. I could've done a lot better to smooth it out, but I had to run. With most of my songs played for the first time when I record them to post, they could be a lot tighter with more practice, but I like the fun of trying to do my best in a short timeframe.
Please give it a listen and let me know what you think. Headphones with good bass may give a better overall sound if the balance isn't working on your laptop speakers.
