Building bee boards July 2019
In part two I continue to build carve out channels in wood from solitary bees to make homes inside. These are the larger homes, using a big round round nose router bit. It makes alot of smoke and I have to let it cool down more than the smaller bit. Though its possible the bees will want larger homes, since I have not seen them go inside its hard to say which ones they will like better.
Its amazing how much sawdust is produced using the router, I had a bucket under my feet to catch some of it. Though most of the wood stuck to my pants and shoes and needed to be dusted off.
