Discussing the other Crypto social media platforms
When I started in 2017 with Steem there was only Steemit and nothing else. But a few years later, and now we have many options. Though some disguise themselves as Blockchain based. And others really are but have their own issues to deal with.
In this video I discuss Mithril, Bearshares, Whaleshares, Publish0x and compare to Steem in my experience with them. Some I do not use anymore for the mentioned reasons in the video. While others like Mithril and Publish0x I still use.
The key things to consider are:
- Tokens being listed on exchanges
- Volume to exchange your tokens for their fair value.
- Bandwidth for posting and editing, similar to resource credits.
- Changing the user interface with every update, making it hard to find features.
Some of these tokens have issues with the above and I mention my experience with those tokens.

Steem has completely changed my thinking of crypto. There’s actually a use for it besides holding it. It’s a lot more motivating and rewarding than others. But of course, I’m biased!
