Packaged Shipped to Welshie (@welshstacker)

From The Beginning

The package for @welshstacker went out along with the other shipments for the 2018 Steem Silver Round. Both of us continued to track the package as it went along the way. There first snag was that the dollar amount of the package was not as much as customs thought it should be. So what happened? Customs made Welshie pay extra for this package. This was unfortunate, but not the end of the world because the package would still be on its way, albeit at a higher cost than initially anticipated.

On the day the package was out for delivery both @welshstacker and I were extremely excited. He would finally be receiving his rounds!! Then he sent me something that rubbed me the wrong way and I had a feeling something wasn't right. Somebody signed his name for the package and the package was not on the doorstep. Typically, this is not of huge concern because often times, postmasters will deliver the package with a neighbor. When this happens the driver will usually leave a notice with the desired recipient (@welshstacker) as to how he could pick up his package.

There was no notice left. No package was delivered was delivered to @welshstacker from a neighbor... Something smelled fishy. Upon contacting the postal office they said to check with the neighbor next door. This neighbor was at work during when the package was signed as was @welshstacker. The post office driver then said he delivered it to another neighbor. This was not the case either.

In the end, it appears the driver kept the package and the silver rounds for himself. I hope they show up on the internet somewhere. Otherwise, they may end up in a pawn shop in Europe!

Making Things Right

@mattclarke put out a bounty of 100 Steem if they could provide any information leading to the recovery of the rounds for @welshstacker.

Then @mikepm74 put out a few posts a two to three weeks back about making making things right and sending some rounds to @welshstacker! You can read the initial post here, plus the follow up posts here and here.

Immediately after @mikepm74 threw this idea out there a few others helped out in addition to throwing in a round of his own!

@thedamus purchased a round from @mikepm74 to be included in the care package!

@summertooth sent a round to be included with the package!

@matthewwarn sent a round to be included with the package!

@themanwithnoname donated funds for a round to be sent!

@tbnfl4sun donated funds for a round to be sent!

@goldmatters included a Mene charm with the care package!

@kouloumos has included a Mene charm with the package!

Also, @silveringots sent a round directly to @welshstacker!

In all, this was a great thing for the community to come together and help out our brother @welshstacker! I am sure he will have an awesome unboxing when his rounds arrive!
