A new account is born to replace my Movingtimelapse YouTube channelsteemCreated with Sketch.

in #dtube8 years ago (edited)

As a lifetime film maker I have just created @samstonehilltube to exhibit my huge catalogue of work.

I had done this already, but must do it again now due to a strange glitch with DTube with appears to delete my films after 19 days from the @samstonehill DTube channel

Meaning that when people look at my DTube channel home page it appears as if I have uploaded nothing.

I have tried in vain to fix this for a month, so had no choice but to start from scratch with a new DTube account

I close my eyes, count to 30, breathe in, breath out.... and all is well :) 🙏🏻

I strongly encouage you to watch the above film if you haven't already seen it.

Entitled 'The Moving Timelapse Mantra' it was created from footage I have shot over the years.

It serves as a trailer for the Moving Timelapse YouTube channel and it tells the surreal and visual story of my journey from city life to the moment I met my partner on a bus in Thailand... at which point Esteban was created and my life path changed rather dramatically!

You can hear my voice and my words in this film.
You can feel my passion.
You can see my unique style of creativity.
You can see my new found freedom.

What you cannot see is that I made a grand total of around $1 by putting it on YouTube!

The new steemit account exclusively for my films: @samstonehilltube

@samstonehilltube will be dedicated exclusively to the hundreds of films I have made over the years... and also to the many films I am yet to make! And I no longer need to rely on crappy advertising to give me a laughable trickle of money each month.

The old days of Moving Timelapse

Before I found Steemit I spent a lot of time creating awesome films under the movingtimelapse brand, uploading them to YouTube in the hope that this would finance my travels around the world.

My plan didn't work out as the revenue generated was pitiful... so I am overjoyed now to have discovered Steemit & DTube where I can share with you my visual journey of barefoot discovery all the way from London to Bali, creating time-lapse, hyper-lapse, video diary films and so much more wherever I went.

What can you expect from this new DTube account?

I have been on the road for almost five years and I haven't stopped making films since I sold everything and said goodbye to my static London life.

I love motion control HDR time-lapse above everything else but there are few kinds of films I don't enjoy taking a stab at!

So you are going to see a total mixture of things ranging from ...

porn parody trailers (watched by rather a lot of people) in this case called The Kings Piece... written, directed by & starring me...

to my Movingtimelapse visual poetry films

to my video diary series

to a series on Sammy's Simple Solutions!

to a bunch of corporate trailers advertising companies I believe in.

and let's not forget my voluntary, songwriting, music videos & property work

My first film to be released on the new account

As I traveled the world, I developed something along the lines of a mantra which became known as the Moving Timelapse Mantra

Hope my trailer of visual poetry inspires you to follow in my steps towards a life of creative freedom.

Tomorrow this trailer will be on DTube. It is uploading as I write this!

And Moving Timelapse will be no more.

Looking forward to populating the @samstonehilltube account with the kind of films which will leave you wanting more...

I shot this one back in the UK three years ago and was the first person to combine drone footage with time-lapse to cover a 3 month construction period in 3 minutes of visual magic.

Hope you enjoy... and your interest is piqued now!

Keep following for more visual treats ;)

Thanks for sharing. Nice post. have a nice day. @thunderland

Thanks for the support!

I was almost your first follower on the new account but I'll settle for 2nd. Lol. Dtube is a great idea but still in its early stages glitches bugs and frustration are part of the process to decentralisation of video sharing.

How right you are! I had rather assumed it would all magically just work perfectly ;)

No problems... only solutions! In the end it's good to separate my film journey from my main account. Trying to upload another film now... fingers crossed it will work!

Yes, it really was, unfortunately. I'm glad that you are so optimistic about such small problems :)

There isn't much I am not optimistic about ;)

Wow...you are an very great creative person, great work ,congratulation on your upcoming project.

Thanks very much for your support.

It is my belief that we are all creative. The only difference between one person and another is how much encouragement they are given as children to pursue their creativity in whatever form that takes.

I am enjoying very much watching my two year old son develop his natural creative instincts :)

Give my Advance congratulation on the success of junior samstonehill.
